((disclaimer)) I don't recommend using 300blk data to load 7.62x39, that is what we did and we are a bunch of rednecks, so if you do use it and blow yourself/firearms up that's on you, not me. That is why, I believe, you cant find 7.62x39 load data. The reason you cant find much load data on subsonic 7.62x39 is because the sks and ak firearms run poorly on subsonic ammo. 300blk is a awesome subsonic round, it can also preform fairly well as a sonic round. Unlike an ar that you can change buffers and springs to get the firearm to run, the sks and ak doesn't have that ability. You can cut and form 5.56 cases for 300blk and the bolt and mags are the same as 5.56. We basically used 300blk data in a 7.62x39 case for our test loads, they all fired fine and were subsonic but the sks and ak wouldn't cycle. But you stated you have an ar upper that runs 7.62x39, then you should be able to get the firearm to cycle subsonic. My brother and I tried to get a subsonic round to cycle his sks and ak reliably. You can cut and form 5.56 cases for 300blk and the bolt and mags are the same as 5.56. If you’re interested in using reddit for self-promotion check out our Official Spam Policy.
